Caring for Natural Stone, Engineered Stone, and Recycled Glass
Simple care and maintenance will help to preserve your countertops’ beauty for years. Clean countertops with a few drops of neutral cleaner, stone cleaner (we recommend Stonetech Professional Revitalizer) or a mild liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water. Use a clean rag mop on floors and a soft cloth for other surfaces for best results. Too much cleaner or soap may leave a film and cause streaks. Do not use products that contain lemon, vinegar or other acids on marble or limestone. Rinse the surface thoroughly after washing with the soap solution and dry with a soft cloth. Change the rinse water frequently. Do not use scouring powders or creams; these products contain abrasives that may scratch the surface.
The best way to prevent stains is to treat the surface with a protective sealer used every 6-12 months. The sealer fills in the pores and repels spills on the surface, allowing you time to completely wipe it away. We recommend Stonetech Impregnator Pro. It is very simple to use - just wipe on with a towel. Before drying, wipe again.
If a stain does occur, stain removers can be used to pull the stain out of the stone. Contact us and we can assist you selecting a product to assist in stain removal.
